Sangria Slushies are loaded with berry and citrus flavors and Red Moscato making it the perfect frozen cocktail for summer!
When I was in college I was a Tastefully Simple consultant and the product I sold the most of was the Sangria Slushies.
They were so good! Since then, I’ve found a way to make this delicious frozen cocktail right at home!
Now, I’m not a huge wine drinker, but I absolutely enjoy Moscato and Rosé and I really love sangria be it white or red or even a hard cider sangria.
And I feel like taking sangria and making it a frozen slushie is pretty much the ultimate summer cocktail! These Sangria Slushies are like grown-up slush puppies!
How To Make Sangria Wine Slushies:
This cocktail is so easy to make too!
Simply throw all the ingredients in a blender and then pour it into a 9×13-inch pan and put in the freezer for at least 2 hours to slush up!
And make sure to serve it with a wide straw since it is a bit thick.
You could also use a spoon and serve it more like a Sangria Granita!
This sangria, in particular, will be a hit with anyone who loves the berries of summer and a touch of citrus.
I made these Sangria Slushies for Mother’s Day brunch and everyone loved the mix of sweet and tart!
This recipe would also be great for a girl’s night around the fire or a day by the pool.
But since it’s a frozen drink, you can simply make it for yourself and enjoy it all week long by keeping any extra in the freezer until you’re ready to enjoy it.
I know, how could this ever last a week 😉
I love the way the blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and orange come together with the delicious Red Moscato and raspberry and orange liqueurs.
Even though this Sangria Slushies recipe has a natural sweetness from the berries and is made with a sweet wine, I like to add a touch of simple syrup to soften the wine a bit.
If you don’t feel like making the simple syrup at home and you forgot to buy some at the store, you can use powdered sugar instead, but I would add 3 tablespoons instead of 2.

Making these next week but want to make a non alcoholic version too. Any ideas how to tweak the recipe?
Rebecca Hubbell says
I would replace the wine with a grape juice. Add additional orange juice to replace the triple sec. And for the brandy maybe a another fruit juice – cherry?
Andrea says
Looks delicious and refreshing! I will have to make this soon.

What type of glass do you serve these in? Looks like half wine half Moscow mule type of glass .. I want to buy some
Rebecca Hubbell says

I noticed that ice was added in the video, but the recipe doesn’t mention ice. How much ice do you add?
Rebecca Hubbell says
Hi Kitty, the final recipe was retested and the ice was omitted, but the recipe was shot with ice. It doesn’t make a difference in the recipe.
Kelly says

Yep, just keep it in an airtight container in the freezer!

A few years ago my oldest son took us to a Mexican restaurant in Houston that had THE most incredible frozen drink!! Close your eyes and imagine frozen red sangria with a frozen original daiquiri in the center. They had a machine that did all the work but it can easily be made at home with any blender.

Looks great, but how many Calories?
Elaine says
Thank you so much. Look very “seedy”. Hope they are yummy!
Rebecca says
Hi Elaine, you can always run the liquid mixture through a sieve before adding to the pan if you want to remove the seeds, I personally love seeds.
Elaine Reifsnider Bruce says
The video shows ice cubes in the blender. Of mentioned in the ingredients. How much
Rebecca says
Hi Elaine, you can use ice cubes if you want, but they’re not necessary. If you want to use ice cubes and drink the slushies right away, I would start with 2 to 3 cups until you reach your desired slushie state 🙂
Toni says
Hi could you help me out I am looking for a very sweet alcohol drink. I raise a half dozen grandchildren and at the end of the night I always think it would be nice to have a drink before calling it a night but I keep buying the stuff only to leave it sitting bc I don’t like the taste
Rebecca says
Hi Toni, this is a sweet drink, but more of a fruit sweet than dessert sweet. You can always try it and if you want it sweeter just add more simple syrup. I would also start with a sweet wine like Moscato. If you’re looking for a really sweet cocktail, I might recommend my German Chocolate Cake Cocktail which you can find here: https://www.sugarandsoul.co/german-chocolate-cocktail-recipe/
Sarah says
What is simple syrup and where do I get it.
Rebecca says
It’s a syrup made from sugar and water, you can make it home or purchase it at the store, it’s usually by the mixers in the liquor aisle. http://amzn.to/2s0Bxl7
Sarita says
Looks delicious!!! But I love the glasses with the spoons. Where can I can get them?
Rebecca says
Hi Sarita, I got my glasses at TJMaxx, but you can find similar ones here: http://amzn.to/2tfQBs1
As for the spoons, I bought those at Target last year and haven’t been able to find similar ones.
Diane says
Oh my, these are delicious! They go down way too easily!!!
