Homemade Granola is sweetened with honey and the oats are loaded with spices, nuts, and dried fruits for a delicious crunchy granola recipe you’ll want to put on everything.
This Granola Recipe is delicious when served with Smoothie Bowls or eaten plain as a snack!
If you’re someone who has a hard time eating breakfast in the morning, try incorporating this treat into your meal. Not only is it tasty, it’s also wholesome and filling with ingredients like oats, almonds, pecans, walnuts, and raisins!
This recipe is actually from Penny Cluse Cafe in Burlington, VT. I had it during my trip there a couple of summers ago and LOVED it and was so excited to find the recipe!
How To Make Homemade Granola:
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch lipped baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Then, In a large bowl, stir together the honey, butter, spices, and salt.
Step 2: Add in the rolled oats and stir until evenly coated and transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
Step 3: Stir the oats every 10 minutes and bake until the oats are a deep golden brown, about 30 minutes total.
Step 4: Remove from the oven and transfer the oats back into the large bowl. Combine the oats with the raisins, chopped walnuts, chopped pecans, slivered almonds, and maple syrup and stir until coated.
If desired, you could also try adding in chocolate chips, dried cherries, dried cranberries, unsweetened coconut flakes, or sunflower seeds!
Spread back out on the pan and allow to cool completely at room temperature before enjoying.
Is Granola Good For You?
Loaded with old fashioned oats, nuts, and raisins, this healthy granola recipe contains nutrients like fiber, iron, healthy fats, and protein. (Plus, it’s all-natural.)
This recipe is wholesome and delicious and made without processed sugars! Plus, I think a big part of being healthy is preparing your food at home so you know exactly what’s going into each dish!
That said, it’s not particularly low-calorie, so anyone watching their waistline may want to practice moderation. And that can be tough … this stuff is addictive!
How Long Does Homemade Granola Last?
Once prepared, seal the granola in an airtight container and it should be good for up to 2 weeks.

What Can I Make With It?
Use this crunchy, spiced topping to dress up breakfasts, snacks, and even desserts! Here are some creative ways to use it:

- Top it on smoothie-based snacks, like a Raspberry Banana Smoothie.
- Mix it in with your favorite trail mix recipe.
- Add it to your Apple Crisp for extra crunch.
- Simply enjoy is with a splash of regular or dairy-free milk.
- Layer it in a parfait made with your favorite yogurt, berries, and toppings.

- ⅔ honey
