Orange Simple Syrup Ingredients
So simple you think you’re forgetting something! Freshly squeezed orange juice, water, sugar, and orange peel make up this simple syrup.
How To Make Orange Syrup
Mix together the orange juice, water, sugar, and orange peel in a small saucepan on medium-high heat. As you bring it to a boil the sugar will dissolve, stir syrup occasionally.
Remove from heat and allow it to cool to room temperature. Throw away remaining orange peels and store in an airtight container until ready to use.
How To Serve
Brunch with the girls just got even more exciting! Add this orange flavor to your favorite mimosas while you catch up with friends.
This Orange Syrup would go great in my Orange Pomegranate Mimosa or Cranberry Orange Mimosa recipes!
This syrup also makes the perfect addition to your favorite iced teas, lemonades, cocktails, or for making flavored water!
Feel free to use this orange flavor and my other simple syrups as the topping on homemade snow cones! Raspberry Syrup, Strawberry Syrup, or Blackberry Syrup would all be great flavors to try!
This syrup is good for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator. This means you have plenty of time to try almost anything with this homemade syrup.

Orange Simple Syrup
Ingredients
- 1 cup orange juice fresh squeezed
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 3-inch strips orange peel pith removed
Instructions
- Place all of the ingredients in a small saucepan, stir to combine. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
- Discard the orange peels.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to use for up to 2 weeks.

Another great recipe but DON’T discard the orange peels!! (I used the peel off the whole orange.) Let them cool down and dry for a while (roll them in sugar if you want) and dehydrate them. Then I throw them in the freezer and have them as sweet and sour snacks, bake in bread or use in drinks.
