Champagne Jello Shots
GUYS! Jello shots just got a fancy new makeover! Now that we’re all grown up, or at least, we pretend to be and occasionally wish we weren’t, it’s time to trade out the toga parties for Oscar parties and vodka for champagne! Yep, Champagne Jello Shots are a thing!
Champagne takes these youthful party shots and gives them a classy vibe, plus gold stars can make anything glamorous, right?
These Champagne Jello Shots also make a quick, easy, and delicious addition to New Year’s Eve parties and Bachelorette Parties!
They’re made with champagne, lemon juice, ginger ale, sugar, and gelatin for a light and simply flavored shot!
How To Make Jello Shots:
- Add champagne, sugar, and lemon juice to a medium saucepan. Sprinkle with the gelatin and allow to bloom for 3 minutes, do not stir.
- Once the gelatin has bloomed, heat the mixture over medium-low heat and whisk until the gelatin has dissolved. Do not let the mixture boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in the ginger ale, let carbonation fizz out and then evenly pour into shot glasses or small plastic cups and refrigerate for at least 2 to 3 hours until set.
- Sprinkle with edible gold stars just before serving.
How Long Does it Take for Jello Shots to Set in the Fridge?
This depends on a few things such as the size of the shot and the temperature of your fridge. I usually make 1-ounce shots and they take about 2 hours to set in my fridge at 37 degrees F.
One of the things I love most about these champagne jello shots is that they’re only 18 calories each, perfect as we get ready to enter a new year filled with healthy resolutions. Make them up a few days in advance if you’d like!
