Ingredient Notes
This Cherry Cheesecake Dip Recipe comes together so quickly using minimal ingredients! Making it a treat you can enjoy anytime, even when there’s not a special occasion on the horizon!
To make this dip you’ll first start whipping up the creamy cheesecake base. This is made by combining heavy cream, instant cheesecake pudding mix, whipped cream cheese, and powdered sugar.
Once the cheesecake has been spread onto the bottom of your serving dish it’s topped with cherry pie filling. You can totally grab a premade can from the grocery store or use your favorite homemade cherry pie filling.
When I feel ambitious I like to use the homemade cherry filling from my Black Forest Cake recipe. That 5 ingredient filling packs a punch of delicious fresh flavor that would go super well with this dessert dip!
However, most times I do like the ease of canned filling!
How To Make Cherry Cheesecake Dip
- Whisk the heavy cream and pudding mix together until it has thickened.
- Add in the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Mixing again until fully combined.
- Spread the cheesecake mixture into the bottom of a bowl or serving dish.
- Top with the cherry pie filling and enjoy!
If making in a deep bowl, I recommend layering the cheesecake dip and cherry topping to create 4 layers so that you get both in each bite.
Frequently Asked Questions
How Do I Store This Cherry Dessert Dip?
Tightly cover the bowl of dip or transfer it to an airtight container. Then place it in the refrigerator and enjoy it for up to 2 days.
Can I Use Milk In This Recipe Instead Of Heavy Cream?
You can, however, it will cause the dip to be slightly thinner. It will still be absolutely delicious though!
Should I Stir The Cherry Filling Together With The Cheesecake Base?
I personally don’t since it makes the dip look a little unpleasant by doing so.
Is This A Recipe That’s Easy To Double?
It actually is! This recipe will only use half a container of the pudding, cream cheese, and pie filling. Leaving you with the other half of the ingredients you can use to double the batch with.
You could even take the other half of the ingredients and make a second dip with a different flavor! Just make the cheesecake base the same and then top it with a different flavor of canned pie filling.
You could use blueberry pie filling, apple, strawberry, or even raspberry!
Do I Prepare The Pudding Mix Before Adding It To This Recipe?
Nope! Simply open the package and combine the powdered mix with the heavy cream.
