If you love champagne drinks, you’ll love my French 75 and Champagne Shirley Temple!
This delightfully sweet champagne cocktail is a great way to celebrate any occasion! It’s made with just 4 ingredients: raspberries, simple syrup, elderflower liqueur, and champagne.
The best part is, it takes just a couple of minutes to whip up!
How To Make An Elderflower Cocktail
Step 1: Add fresh raspberries to a champagne flute.
You can leave them whole or muddle them after adding to release juice and make the cocktail a pretty blush color.
Step 2: Add simple syrup and elderflower liqueur (St. Elder or St. Germain are great choices) and give them a gentle stir.
If you have some leftover, you can make this Elderflower Gimlet recipe, too!
Step 3: Top the glass off with chilled champagne and garnish with additional raspberries, if desired.
This is a very simple recipe and there are a few ways to tweak it if you’d like it less sweet, fruitier, or aren’t a big champagne fan.
Recipe Variations
- Unsweetened: Go ahead and omit the simple syrup if you prefer a drier cocktail.
- Sugar Cube: You can also substitute for a sugar cube that has less sugar but still adds a touch of sweetness/ A sugar cube can make for a pretty presentation too!
- Rock Candy: This can make the cocktail a bit sweeter overall, but it makes for such a great presentation and it’s such fun for parties!
- Peach: Replace 1/2 ounce of elderflower liqueur with 1/2 ounce of peach schnapps for a fruity blend of flavor!
- Prosecco: Feel free to skip the dry champagne and use prosecco or another bubbly of choice.
- Soda: Instead of bubbly alcohol, you could use lemon-lime soda or club soda. This will leave very little alcohol left in the drink, but it will still be delicious!
How To Serve A Champagne Cocktail
You can serve your drink in a traditional or stemless champagne flute! I love these gold stainless steel ones too! You can also use these disposable gold cheers flutes which are great for parties!
