Raise your hand if you’ve been to a baby shower and played games that you’ve played at a million others. Yep, we all have. But this Children’s Book Emoji Pictionary is a fun, new shower game that is sure to be a hit and a little different than all the ones you’ve played before!
Emoji Pictionary games have been around for a little while now, but they’re still new enough that most people haven’t played one. This Children’s Book theme makes people think (but not too hard) and everyone always loves it!
The idea behind this game is that the emojis are hints to the title of a children’s book. There are 25 book titles in total that need to be filled in and most of them are classics that people of all ages should be able to figure out!
The person who has the highest number of correct titles once the time is up wins! Don’t forget to give them a prize – we love homemade sugar scrubs, lip balm, and wine as gift ideas!
I made this FREE baby shower printable for my own shower a few weeks ago and thought you guys might enjoy playing it too! I’ve included a few helpful notes about that game and then you can scroll down to the bottom of the post to get the came itself!
Tips For Playing:
Have everyone start with their game sheet face down. This gives everyone a fair chance to compete!
Don’t forget the pens!
Time the game. This one might really depend on your audience, but I think 3 minutes is a good time for this game. With 5 minutes almost everyone will have filled out the sheet.
Have fun! Because that’s the important part!
Things To Know About This Game:
It was designed to be printed on 8.5×11-inch sheets of paper.
It’s best when printed in color due to the small images.
The printable game sheet and answer key are two separate files, so make sure you get both, I did it this way so it was easier to print multiples of the game and just one of the answer key.

I can not seem to get it to print, I downloaded it and saved it to a document file. Every time I click print it opens up a new tab to save in a file, i click save and give it a name, then it goes back to the print page, but still wont print, just keeps opening up a page to save.

This happens to me on my computer that isn’t attached to my printer – so instead of printing it wants to save it as a new PDF. I would double check to make sure your printer is connected.
Melody Morris says
I cannot get the print button to work! This looks like a great game but sadly..not working
Rebecca Hubbell says
Hi Melody, can you email me a screenshot of your print button? Is your printer just having a hard time receiving it from the computer or are you not able to find the printable game?
Tina says
Thank you very much. We are looking forward to using these games this weekend. Will let you know the response after the shower.

Recently played emoji game at baby shower and it was super fun. We could not agree on one of the answers – its the clue above Rainbow Fish. Cannot find the answer sheet so would appreciate if someone could let me know the correct answer. There’s no money on it; only pride!! Thanks
Rebecca Hubbell says
It’s Matilda, the answer key is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KA_7fEQcMXjPKyqQkN0NIxloaUEsxPGi/view?usp=sharing
Diann says
I can get to the answer key, but receive an error message when attempting to print it or download it. The error indicates page isn’t redirecting when connecting to the doc. Thanks.
Rebecca Hubbell says
Try it now. I’m not sure what the issue is as I can access both. I will have my tech developer look at it tomorrow.
Mallory Taaffe says
The button does not work for me to get the answer key…Could you repost it please?
Rebecca Hubbell says
Hi Mallory, So sorry about that. We’ve been making some technical changes and it looks like the code in the post was broken. All fixed now! Enjoy!

After reading through all the comments, and seeing you gave the same answer about graphic cards in everyones pc I have to disagree. I too am having a problem printing the file and I have a very new pc. Soooo I am going to say this: I think something is wrong with the file. I downloaded it and it just wont print. Just my opinion and I apologize in advance but I seriously think its the file not everyones graphic card or the pc.
Rebecca Hubbell says
Hi Joyce,
It may not be a graphics card issue, this is just what I was able to find in my research. It’s also important that you download the file to your computer and not print directly from the link once it opens as this is just a preview. The game has been printed by over 10,000 people, unfortunately, there are some who have had issues and those are usually the ones who leave comments. So it’s not an issue with the file. There could be a compatibility issue between the file and certain computers but I can only test on what I have available to me.
Rozanne says
I filled in to subscribe but can still not get the game and answer sheet to print.
Rebecca Hubbell says
Hi Rozanne, Make sure you’re downloading the PDF before printing and not trying to print from a preview screen. Also, I tried emailing you but your email came up as not found.
Jennifer says
hey, I downloaded the game, it prints everything ou except the emojis. can you please email me the link? Need it for a baby shower today. Thank you! jennlee06@hotmail.com
Rebecca Hubbell says
I emailed you. The emojis not showing up is usually caused by an outdated graphics card in your device or printer. Also, make sure that you are trying to print from the downloaded file and not from the email preview.
Stephanie Gerritsen says
I’ve also added my email to get the game PDF and it hasn’t shown up in my email (signed up yesterday). Can you please send to me? stephanie dot gerritsen at gmail dot com.
Rebecca Hubbell says
You can always double-check the download page as well, but I have emailed you.
Greg says
Emojis don’t show up. Has nothing to do with video card. I’m running a computer second to none. Signed up for emails never received it. Was hoping to use at an event today but unless someone helps me asap I don’t guess I will.
Rebecca Hubbell says
Hi Greg, So you did or didn’t receive it? I’m assuming you must have if you are saying the emojis aren’t showing up. While your computer card might be fine, your printer could be what’s causing the issue. Open the Print dialog and at the bottom where there is a menu that says “PDF”, choose “Open PDF in Preview.” When it does this, zoom in and see if the emojis showed up on the simulated print. If it works, this does not guarantee that the emojis will print on the actual printer, but chances are they probably will. I have emailed you a copy of both the game and the answer key.
Sarah says
great Printable baby Shower game How I can get it
Rebecca Hubbell says
Hi Sarah, simply click the button and subscribe and it will be emailed to you.
Amber says
I can’t seem to get the emojis to print off on either the key of the actual game. Is there another way to approach this?
Rebecca Hubbell says
Hi Amber, this is an issue with the graphics card either in your printer or your computer. I would try printing from a different device and see if that solves the issue.
Tracy says
I’m having such a hard time finding out where to go to get this to print. My email is mts9165@gmail.com if you could help me out with this I would be very appreciative. Thank you

Once you signed up for the newsletter the blank game sheet should have been mailed to you as a PDF and the answer sheet can be found by clicking the button within the post
Ligia Ardon says
Hi, I downloaded the file but it won’t give me the answer sheet. Can you email it to me please.
Rebecca Hubbell says
Hi Ligia, the answer sheet won’t be emailed to you. It’s a separate file that you can get just from clicking the indicated button in the post.
Kaitlin says
Hi. It’s not working for me either. It doesn’t print the emojis but everything else is there
Rebecca Hubbell says
Hi Kaitlin, If it’s not printing the emojis, this is an error with the graphics card in your computer or printer. I would try printing from a different device to see if that solves the issue.
Jamie Bogie says
I cant get it to print either and did not see an answer sheet, can you please email me as well.
Thank you!!
Rebecca Hubbell says
Hi Jamie, there are two big blue buttons in the post, the first one opens to the email signup to get the game sheet and the second will open a pdf version of the answer sheet for printing.
Stephanie says
Hi I signed up using the big blue buttons and its not working for me either. I even tried two different emails.
Erin Bobrowski says
I was able to open the link to the answers but cannot open the link to the game document. It takes me to a page to sign up and I did, but still cannot open the game? Can this be forwarded to me via email as a PDF?
Nikki Carroll says
Hi there! Love the game although when I tried to print, none of the emojis showed up on the paper! What am I doing wrong?
Rebecca Hubbell says
Hi Nikki, this is an issue with the graphics card either in your computer or printer. I would recommend trying to print from another device to see if that fixes the issue!
Whitney Diane Demetrius says
I tried as well. Can this be emailed?
Rebecca Hubbell says
Hi Whitney, I have added the answer key so that all you have to do it click the button in the post to get it 🙂
