Grab a sip of this TikTok Viral Fluffy Soda that’s been taking the internet by storm with close to 4 million people going crazy for it! It combines just three easy ingredients over ice in 5 minutes or less for a sweet, fizzy drink that’s incredibly satisfying!
Fluffy Soda Is The New Dirty Soda!
The last viral Soda recipe that shook the world was our beloved Dirty Soda, a soda shoppe-style drink we’ve all come to know and love (I even wrote a cookbook of them). But now there’s a new drink on the internet: Fluffy Soda!
Fluffy Soda appears to have been introduced to us by Emma Grace on TikTok. The video shows her and her ‘Memama’ smearing fluff onto the inside of a cup and then pouring coke into it and in that moment, the internet went crazy and voted this drink to be a 10 out 10.
It was love at first sip for me, but after finishing my first Fluffy Soda I felt like a little something was missing. After retesting and playing around with the recipe I found that the addition of vanilla simple syrup amplified the overall marshmallowy flavor in the Fluffy Soda, making it super delicious!
Rebecca’s Recipe Review
Taste: Sweet and fizzy, similar to a dirty soda or soda float.
Texture: A slightly creamy mouthfeel and bubbly cold soda.
Ease: 2/10
Pros: Easy and fun to make.
Cons: Let’s be real, fluff is kind of messy (but oh so delicious).
Would I Make This Again? Maybe as a fun treat for the family, but not as a regular drink.
Fluffy Soda Ingredients
There are two things that the world loves about viral recipes. The first is that it has to have easy, minimal ingredients. The second is that it can be made quickly for instant gratification. And this Fluffy Soda delivers on both points!
To make a Viral Fluffy Soda, all that’s needed is marshmallow fluff, vanilla simple syrup, Coke, and nugget ice. These simple ingredients also mean that you can easily swap things in and out of the recipe to make a flavor variation you love!
How To Make A Fluffy Coke
- Spread marshmallow fluff inside a tall glass, coating the sides as much or as little as you’d like.
- Fill the fluff coated cup halfway with nugget ice.
- Pour in vanilla simple syrup and then top with Coke.
- Allow the Fluffy Coke Drink to sit for a few minutes and then stir it well before enjoying!
The variations in the photos include a Fluffy Shirley using grenadine and lemon-lime soda and a Cherry Dr Pepper using homemade Cherry Simple Syrup and Dr Pepper.
Marshmallow Fluff – Marshmallow Fluff spreads onto the inside of the cups easier than Jet-Puffed Marshmallow Creme.
Plastic Cups – If dishes aren’t your thing you may want to consider using plastic cups since the fluff on the cups makes quite a mess.
Nugget Ice Is Key – Nugget ice elevates every drink to elite status; therefore, adding it to this Fluffy Soda is key! If you don’t have a nugget ice maker, you can grab a bag from Chick-fil-A.
Let It Rest – For the best Fluffy Soda flavor, it’s best to give the finished drink time to rest. This will allow the marshmallow sides to meld with the soda, giving the drink a more marshmallowy flavor.
Soda Flavors – Check out the list below for flavor variations to try with this Fluffy Soda method.
Fluffy Soda Flavor Ideas
- Swap Out The Coke – Instead of using Coke try another dark cola such as Root Beer, Dr Pepper, and Pepsi.
- Make A Fluffy Shirely – Use my Shirley Temple Drink Recipe to try a Fluffy Shirley Temple! You just may want to swap the ginger ale out for a lemon-lime soda such as Sprite, 7UP or Sierra Mist.
- Fluffy Dirty Soda – Swap the vanilla simple syrup for coconut simple syrup and a squeeze of fresh lime juice to go with the Coke!
- Orange Dreamsicle – Exchange the Coke for an orange-flavored soda such as Orange Crush, Sunkist, or Orange Fanta to create a yummy Orange Dreamsicle drink.
- Fluffy Iced Coffee – Instead of Fluffy Soda, throw a twist on your iced coffee by making a Fluffy Iced Coffee! Just swap the soda out for iced coffee and add in your creamer. For more flavor (and sugar!), you can drizzle in caramel or chocolate syrup or even flavor the coffee with simple syrups.
- Simple Syrups – Add a splashes or two of a different simple syrup into your fluffy soda to mix up a new, exciting flavor! Try using Cherry Simple Syrup or Orange Simple Syrup!
Can You Make Fluffy Soda In Advance?
No, after just a couple of minutes, the fluff starts dissolving into the soda. If making for a party, you could always fluff your cups in advance and pull them out when ready to prepare the drinks.
How To Garnish Fluffy Soda
I always recommend garnishing drinks with fresh elements of the flavors in the drink, so this can vary depending on the fluffy soda flavor you choose to make. But have fun with it!
