Tips When Making Mike’s Hot Honey Glazed Carrots
- Type Of Carrots – Feel free to use large, baby, or baby-cut carrots when making this hot honey glazed carrots recipe! Just make sure you have 2lbs of your choice as that’s the amount this recipe is fitted for!
- Thick Carrots – If you are using whole carrots that are a bit thick, you’ll want to chop them up into consistently sized pieces. Some whole carrots I find are so thick that I also cut them in half before chopping!
- Prepare Your Baking Dish – This recipe can be made in a baking dish or a rimmed baking pan. To prevent the carrots from sticking, grease the baking dish or line the baking pan with parchment paper.
- Baking Time – The amount of time it takes to cook these hot honey glazed carrots will vary! This is because the baking time is based on the thickness of the carrots. Thick, whole carrots generally take 1 hour whereas baby carrots are done within 40 to 50 minutes.
Make room on the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter meal menu for these carrots with honey and red pepper flakes! After all, everyone looks forward to those tasty side dishes as much as the tender meat!
This side dish will easily exceed their expectations as will these fluffy Perfect Yeast Rolls and creamy Mashed Potatoes! Though I usually set my sights on this Crockpot Cheesy Corn!

Store these hot honey glazed carrots in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

What non-garlic ingredient can I substitute for the garlic paste?
Rebecca Hubbell says
I would say you could leave it out or maybe add a bit of worchestershire sauce.
